When should you change the filter?

Most filters last about 6 to 12 months. Change it sooner if you see any of these signs:

  •  The Mi Home app or the purifier light tells you the filter life is finished.
  • The air quality number stays high even after running the purifier for a long time.
  • The airflow feels weak or the purifier is louder than before.
  • You notice a stale smell from the purifier.

How to replace the filter

  • The exact steps differ a little by model, so keep your manual handy. In general:
  • Switch off the purifier and unplug it.
  • Open the filter cover or top grille.
  • Take out the old filter.
  • Remove all plastic wrapping from the new filter. A filter left in its bag will not clean the air.
  • Place the new filter in the same direction as the old one and close the cover.
  • Plug in, switch on, and reset the filter life in the Mi Home app if your model asks for it.
