News - Mi 10T-Lite Takes the Market by Storm

Gear yourself for the MI 10T-Lite, a budget phone introduced in the premium MI 10 lineup. Earlier in December Xiaomi launched the high-end flagship Mi 10T in Pakistan. And now is back with a new year’s present by launching the budget variant Mi 10T-Lite. The speculations were around for quite a while, and the devoted Xiaomi fans didn’t leave any chance in getting the slightest detail about the phone. 

With Mi 10T-Lite, you get most of the perk of a flagship-level smart-phone without paying the hefty amount that a flagship model cost. The main selling features are the 6.67-inch large display, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, and 120HzH of refresh rate. If you want to jump on the 5G bandwagon without spending too much of your savings this phone might be the one.

Xiaomi offers the Android 10 operating system with its MIUI 12 as an add-on. But we can still hope for the Android 11 operating system in future updates. 

Mi 10T-Lite being a budget phone still provides Elite Gaming features such as Qualcomm Adreno HDR Fast Blend, Qualcomm Adreno updatable GPU drivers, and Qualcomm Game Color Plus.

It can easily snatch the best budget phone tag from any other budget phone in it’s league like Poco X3. So, let’s take a deeper dive as Mi 10T-Lite has a lot more to offer.

MI 10T-Lite a complete Powerhouse

Processor

Xiaomi embedded Qualcomm®Snapdragon™ 750G as the soul and the heart of the Mi 10T lite. 750G is the successor to the 730G used in Poco X2 and Google Pixel 4A. Snapdragon 750G has an octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 570 CPU processor, with two high-performance processors clocking at 2.2 GHz and the remaining six at 1.8 GHz. It comes with 5G support.

The Snapdragon 750G practically plays in the same league in terms of speed as the Snapdragon 765G used in the Oneplus Nord and the Google Pixel 5.

Display

The front end of the Mi 10T-Lite pleases just as much as the eye-catching back end. The 6.67 inches, 2.5D dot display IPS LCD beast comes with 120Hz of refresh rate for gaming. The side bezels are extremely thin along with fair size bottom lip. It also supports Adaptive-Sync from 30Hz to 120Hz for a more cinematic movie experience. Despite its gigantic size, visuals are kept sharp with the 2400 x 1080 pixels full HD plus resolution and with HDR10 support. The additional features like Contrast Ratio 1500:1 (typ) | Reading Mode 3.0 | Sunlight Display 3.0 | TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification are just cherries on the top.

Impressive Built and design

Xiaomi has always been ahead of its competitors with its unique designs and vibrant color choices and they continue to empower with Mi 10T-Lite. The two-tone Rose Gold Peach color gives a tropical feel along with premium looks.

The back of the Mi 10T-Lite is finished in frosted glass which easily hides any fingerprints or smudges. For protection, Gorilla Glass 5 is added on the front and the back ends. At the rear, the quad-camera setup is symmetrically seated at the top center. Although you can feel a little camera bump the phone does not wobble around when placed on its back.  The Mi 10T-Lite comes with a plastic body. This is something we can compromise on when looking at a budget phone.

At the sides, a Fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button is provided that will ensure an instant lock on/off experience along with the sim tray and volume up-down keys. At the top an IR blaster along with the microphone is present.

Dual Speaker set-up with one speaker at the top and bottom each for sure produces a better surround sound. 24-bit/192kHz audio is enough to blast your favorite music.

Headphone jack 3.5mm headphone jack is on its verge of extinction due to creative choices of companies like Apple and Samsung. Mi 10T-Lite still provides you with the old-school wired experience along with the modern wireless audio streaming capability.

Memory

Unfortunately, only one variant is being launched in Pakistan with 128 GB of internal storage- UFS 2.2 and 6 gigabytes of RAM. If you are the type of person that downloads loads of applications on your smartphone, it will take huge amount of applications and files to run out of 128 gigs of storage. You can still add an external micro SD card in place of the secondary sim card slot for extra storage.

Main Quad Camera

The main quad-camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel camera using Sony's Imax 682 sensor, 1/1.7” sensor size, 0.8µm pixel size, 4-in-1 1.6µm Super Pixel, f/1.89, 6P lens, AF an 8-megapixel, f/2.2, 120 degrees ultra-wide-angle lens, 1/4"sensor size, f/2.2, 5P lens, 1.12μm pixel size and the obligatory 2-megapixel, f/2.4 depth sensor, and 2-megapixel, f/2.4 macro lens. Although this camera setup has been used in some of the previous budget phones. Xiaomi provides its amazing AI mode that makes your camera automatically adjust various settings based on the recognized scene. So, more crisp pictures with better colors even in low light are guaranteed.

Front camera

A 16-megapixel selfie camera embedded in the tiny dot on the front display has a 1 /3.06” sensor size, f/2.45, 5P lens, FF. The front camera is capable of shooting videos at 1080p@30fps, 720p@120fps.

Photography Features

AI mode enables a lot of features for a better overall experience.

Long exposure mode focuses on the subject while blurring the moving surroundings generates smooth quality images even at night.

Timed burst feature capable of captures 600 pictures per 60 seconds and is also capable of converting them into videos.

Dual Video Recording a flagship tier feature that shoots video simultaneously for front and rear cameras. Now you can capture your best moments along with your reaction.

Longer Battery Life Supported with Fast Charging

Mi 10T-Lite is powered by a 4820 mAh battery. It’s fairly decent as it’s only 180 mAh less than the premium flagship model. The battery life can last up to 2 days at normal use with video streaming and some gameplay. The 33-watt type C fast charging will provide you an extra bit of juice and will keep you going. Xiaomi’s incredible MMT parallel charging feature provides a stable charging speed while reducing the charging distance. To avoid sudden drops in the current flow Mi-FC fast charge technology is implemented.

Overview

MI 10T-LITE is a well-built phone that provides most of the perks that a flagship has to offers at an affordable price of 49,999. Snapdragon 750G for sure provides an incredible gaming experience. Although the camera is not as sharp as provided on the flagship but we have to keep in mind the price bracket it is provided in.
